1. Charge it first. Use the supplied cable and block. A full charge takes 6 hours and gives you 20 hours of daytime use. The solar panel keeps it topped up after that, but start with a full battery.

2. Fit the antenna. Screw it onto the camera body. It only goes one way.

3. Download MH Cam. Free on the App Store and Google Play. You don't need an account.

4. Pair the camera to your phone. Turn the camera on, open MH Cam, and follow the pairing prompt.

5. Mount it. Place the magnetic base on a steel surface at the back of your trailer, truck or RV. Wipe the surface first — grit under the magnet weakens the hold. Angle it down slightly so you can see the ground behind you.

6. Check the view before you drive. Open the app and confirm you can see the area behind you. Adjust the angle until the hitch or bumper sits at the bottom of the frame.

Tip: mount your phone on the dash before reversing. Holding it while manoeuvring is awkward and unsafe.

Does it need wiring?
No. The solar panel is built in and keeps the battery charged. There's nothing to plug in and no hole to drill.

Do I need WiFi or a phone signal?
No. The camera connects straight to your phone over its own WiFi or Bluetooth. It works in a field, a campsite, or a yard with no internet.

Does it record?
No. It shows a live picture only. There's no memory card, no storage, and no footage saved.

Is there a monthly fee?
No. Nothing to pay after you buy it.

Will it stick to my trailer?
If the surface is steel, yes. Aluminium and fibreglass aren't magnetic. A fridge magnet will tell you in two seconds.

Can I use it while driving?
It's built for reversing and manoeuvring. The picture runs about a second behind, so it shouldn't replace your mirrors at road speed.

How long does the battery last?
20 hours of daytime use, or 12 with night vision running. In normal daylight the solar panel keeps it charged without you doing anything.

Will it survive rain?
Yes. It's rated IP69K, which is the highest dust and water rating there is. Rain, road spray and pressure washing are all fine.

What if it doesn't work for me?
Message us within 30 days and we'll refund you in full. If it's faulty, a short video of the problem is all we need — you won't have to ship anything back.
